Book Arts Complete 3-session Course

$225

with Multiple Instructors

Calendar Next available session starts Jun 28, 2025 at 9:30 am, runs for 3 weeks

In this full 3-session course students will begin with Session 1: Eco Printing on Paper.  Artist Mary DeLano guides us through the process of preparing paper with mordant, and using any of three different methods for transferring images of leaves and flowers onto the paper.  In Session 2, Anna Low of Purplebean Bindery teaches us how to use the ancient technique of Coptic Bookbinding to gather all of those pages together in book form.  In Session 3, poet Lauren Gould will inspire us to fill those pages with our own creative writing.  This is an excellent way to learn the art of making hand-bound, unique books for yourself or to give as gifts.
