Wild Bees: Superpollinators
with Deb Perkins

Join Deb Perkins of First Light Wildlife Habitat for this workshop that explores the fascinating lives of our native bees. Topics include the ecology and behavior of native bees, habitat needs and stressors, and ways to create a high value habitat in your own yard. This workshop includes a walk on Tear Cap Workshops' property to explore bee habitats.
Stonewall Building
with Karl Gifford

Intensive workshop for anyone who wants to learn how to build dry stone walls, including retaining walls and seat walls. Karl Gifford, DSWA-GB Level II is a local expert who also teaches at the Stone Trust in Vermont. You will learn all the basic strategies and rules of structural walling. Suitable for beginners and those with experience. Please wear work clothes and boots and bring safety glasses and gloves.

Needle Felting
with Ruth Boisvert

Needle felting is a time-honored fiber art that has gained popularity for its adaptability to animal, plant and human forms. In this class, you will learn how to create an elephant by preparing the felt, using needles to form and compress, and adding special touches. Ruth Boisvert is a gallery-level felting artist whose work can be viewed at 302 Gallery. All supplies will be provided, and students will take home tools and have opportunity to purchase more at class.
